History:
Sealdah Station was started in 1869. [2] [3] From here it was under the East Bengal Railway Division. Before partition, Darjeeling Mail was going to Siliguri through the current Bangladesh with the route of Gayatri-Darshana, from Ranaghat to Sealdah.
